The Jurassic Park film franchise is expanding with its seventh motion picture premiering three years after “Jurassic World Dominion” broke box office records worldwide and became the fourth highest-grossing film of 2022. “Jurassic World Rebirth” will premiere in theatres worldwide on Jul. 2, 2025.
Distributed by Universal Pictures, “Jurassic World Rebirth” follows a medical research team as they venture into a remote island to secure genetic material from the world’s largest dinosaurs. They must retrieve DNA samples for the sake of a revolutionary medical treatment that can save millions of lives. The dangerous mission sees them going toe to toe with the original prehistoric giants and novel mutations that have evolved in isolation.
Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, “Jurassic World Rebirth” will take a much darker turn than the previous films as it taps into the gore and horror genre for a heightened cinematic experience.
The cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Ruffo, Lana Blaise, David lacono, and Ed Skrein.
“Jurassic World Rebirth” is shaping up to be a prehistoric adventure filled with fear, horror, and the “beloved” dinosaurs that have made the franchise a billion-dollar goldmine.
Given the fan anticipation and media attention, it might tick another billion-dollar box for Universal Pictures. Before that happens, watch the thrilling trailer here.
