Agbara Nla: The Return, a faith-based feature by Damilola and Joshua Mike-Bamiloye, based on an original version created by Mike Bamiloye, will open in Nigerian cinemas on October 1, 2026.
The film is a modern reimagining of the 1991 Mount Zion classic Agbara Nla, bringing its story of faith and spiritual warfare to a new generation.
Produced by Chris Odeh, Agbara Nla: The Return is set in Muwonleru, a community held captive by a powerful herbalist named Isawuru.
When God calls Bose and Kola to take the Gospel to the village, they ignore the assignment. It is eventually entrusted to Olaboye and Olatomi, who leave their lucrative city jobs to take the message of Christ to Muwonleru.

Their arrival brings them into conflict with Isawuru, who seeks to protect his hold over the community. As the conflict escalates, Olaboye and Olatomi are forced into a spiritual battle between light and darkness.
Mike Bamiloye stars as Isawuru, alongside Aanu Kolade Abiodun, Remilekun Mosiko, Philip Olubakin, Damilola Mike-Bamiloye, Gloria Mike-Bamiloye and David Kola Okeowo.
Nile Entertainment is distributing the film in cinemas.
Agbara Nla: The Return is based on the 1991 original created by Mike Bamiloye and marks a return to the story more than 30 years after the first film.
