Directed by Kayode Kasum, “Ajosepo” explores family dynamics, religion, and romance, with an exclusive cinema release set for April 2024.
The movie, executively produced by Kasum, Dare Olaitan, Bolaji Ogunmola, and Sam Ochonma, promises an intriguing blend of tradition and modernity.
The teaser unfolds the tale of Mike Afolarin and Tomike Adeoye, a couple attempting to start a family, only to find their wedding eve descending into disarray. The chaos ensues when veteran actor Yemi Solade and Bisola Aiyeola find themselves inexplicably stuck together due to an act of infidelity.
The families are compelled to come together to break the spell of “magun,” a consequence of adultery in Yoruba mythology. However, as they resolve the situation and proceed to the grand wedding, not everything returns to normal.
The star-studded cast includes Timini Egbuson, Ibrahim Itele Yekini, Kanaga Jnr, Mercy Aigbe, Ronke Oshodi, Bolaji Ogunmola, Muyiwa Ademola, and the versatile Bisola Aiyeola.
The feature-length film, exploring themes of sibling rivalry, religion, and romance in the modern world, concluded principal photography in 2023.
Written by Stephen Okonkwo and produced by Feyifunmi Ogini, “Ajosepo” promises to be a hilarious yet thought-provoking cinematic experience.
