Bimbo Ademoye Stars in New Psychological Drama “The Benefactor”
Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye takes the lead in “The Benefactor,” a psychological family drama set to open in Nigerian cinemas on August 8, 2025.
Ademoye plays Tuntunlade, a rising star whose promising career takes an unexpected turn when the man who helped launch her success — known only as the Benefactor — makes a demand she cannot meet. Her refusal sets off a chain of events that reveals deeper personal and societal conflicts.

The cast includes Kunle Remi, Akin Lewis, Bimbo Manuel, Tobi Makinde, Aisha Lawal, and Toluwani George.
Directed by Adeoluwa Owu and written by Temiloluwa Fosudo, “The Benefactor” brings the duo back together after their work on Netflix’s “The Griot.” The film is produced by Owu and Folakemi Bello under Degzy Films, Reel House Productions, and Wolf Trybe Media, with Cinemax handling nationwide distribution.

“The Benefactor” opens in cinemas across Nigeria on August 8.
