Gracing the big screens on Aug.18 is the intense drama, “The Modern Woman” starring Chinonso Arubayi, Bimbo Akintola, Timini Egbuson, Juliet Ibrahim, Bayray McNwizu, and Sharon Ooja.

Written, produced, and directed by Nollywood’s finest, Yomi Black, the film follows the story of a woman who, after suffering a miscarriage, lets the bitterness and anger of the loss consume her to the point of no return.

“The Modern Woman” seeks to explain all the layers of grief in the most human way possible, while sending a cautionary tale to viewers to be mindful of how they manage it. Grief sometimes leads to sadness, sadness to anger, and anger to toxicity.

Seyi Babatola is credited as the director of photography. Anita Damjanic serves as the executive producer.
