Hollywood action-packed thriller, “Absolution” is slated to release in Nigeria theaters on November 22, following its U.S. release on November 1.
While the film made its American debut through Samwell Goldwyn Films, the Nigerian release will be managed by local distribution powerhouse, Blue Pictures Distribution.
Originally titled “Thug”—and later retitled to its present name in September—“Absolution” follows the story of an aging hitman seeking redemption for his past sins, only to find his attempts constantly challenged by the criminal underworld.
In this action drama, Liam Neeson reprises his iconic role as the steadfast protector and retired operative, a persona he’s cultivated in films such as “Taken” and “The Grey.”
He also once again teams up with Norwegian filmmaker Hans Petter Moland, with whom he previously collaborated on the 2019 thriller “Cold Pursuit.”
Joining Neeson are Frankie Shaw, Ron Perlman, Yolonda Ross, Javier Molina Daniel Diemer, William Xifaras, Ryan Caraway, Ghia Truesdale, Bruce Soscia, Ryan Homchick, Omar Moustafa Ghonim, Tom Kemp, Levon Panek, Kris Eivers, Josh Drennen and director Moland himself in a supporting role.
