Nemsia Studios’ New Psychological Thriller “Thicker Than Water” Set for October Release
Nemsia Studios has announced the release of its new psychological thriller, Thicker Than Water, scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on October 10, 2025.
The film follows the success of Finding Nina, which debuted on the platform in August.
Directed by Yomi E. Adejumo, Thicker Than Water stars Bimbo Ademoye and Ada Obi in a story that explores family loyalty, investigative obsession, and the unseen darkness lurking in Lagos. It follows Ese, a 28-year-old photojournalist whose search for her estranged sister takes a disturbing turn after discovering a journal that exposes sinister secrets.

Produced by Joshua Enakarhire with cinematography by Daanong Dwain and executive production from BB Sasore, the film continues Nemsia’s tradition of crafting character-driven stories that merge emotional realism with suspenseful tension.
Over the past few years, Nemsia Studios has steadily built a reputation for high-quality African storytelling through films such as Suky, After 30, The Fire and the Moth, and Ms. Kanyin. With Thicker Than Water, the Lagos-based studio reinforces its position as a key voice in Nigeria’s evolving psychological thriller space.
Thicker Than Water will be available globally on Prime Video beginning October 10, 2025.
