The second season of the South African drama “Savage Beauty” is set to make its anticipated return to Netflix on June 28.
Produced by Quizzical Pictures, this six-episode series explores the complex dynamics of the Bhengu family as they navigate power struggles and familial tensions while striving to maintain their beauty empire.
In the series led by Don Bhengu, brilliantly portrayed by Dumisani Mbebe, the family struggles with internal strife and external threats, each member harboring their own secrets and agendas. As the new season unfolds, viewers will be drawn deeper into the close web of relationships and power dynamics within the Bhengu family.
Featuring glittering performances from an ensemble cast, including Tony Kgoroge, Abena Ayivor, and Lebogang Fisher, alongside returning favorites Eve Rasimeni, Angela Sithole, and Oros Mampofu, “Savage Beauty” promises a rich storytelling.
Directed by Matshepo Maja, Harold Holscher, and Rea Rangaka, the series continues to captivate audiences with its exploration of the dark underbelly of wealth and power, revealing the lengths individuals will go to protect their interests and maintain their facades.
