One of South Korea’s most anticipated films is set to hit international theaters on August 1, 2025.

The story follows a devoted web novel reader who finds himself mysteriously transported into the narrative of the very novel he’s been reading. As fiction becomes reality, he must join forces with the story’s central characters to prevent the apocalypse.

“Omniscient Reader: The Prophet” boasts an ensemble cast pulled from the worlds of K-pop and K-drama. Leading the charge is global icon Lee Min Ho, alongside Ahn Hyo-seop, fresh off the success of “Kpop Demon Hunters.” The film also features Chae Soo Bin, known for “When the Phone Rings,” Shin Seung-ho of “Love Alarm,” Nana from the now-disbanded girl group After School, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.

The film is adapted from the popular serialized web novel “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” by South Korean author Sing Shong. Owing to its immense fanbase, the story has already spawned a widely read webtoon and an upcoming anime series licensed by Crunchyroll.
