Following their previous collaboration in Niyi Akinmolayan’s Colours of Fire, Uzor Arukwe and Gabriel Afolayan reunite in One Gidi Night, an upcoming thriller written, directed and produced by James Abinibi, set to debut in Nigerian cinemas on September 11.
The film is a real-time neo-noir thriller set against the backdrop of Lagos, following a man pushed to his limits by desperation and the lengths he goes to for survival.
Arukwe plays twin characters, Easy and Engees, who share an identical appearance but have contrasting personalities. Easy is a blind chemist, while Engees is more villainous in his ways.

Afolayan plays Ejiro, a morally upright man whose circumstances force him to confront difficult choices as he struggles with survival.
The cast also includes Wumi Toriola as Busayo, Idia Aisien, Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele d Icon, and Kelvin Ikeduba.

One Gidi Night explores themes of unemployment, desperation, family and the consequences of the choices people make when pushed to their limits.
The film is produced under Abinibi’s RockBottom Flix and will be distributed nationwide by FilmOne Entertainment.
