South African comedy “Meet the Khumalos” is heading straight for a grand premiere on Netflix on Apr. 11, 2025.
The film is an open invitation into a world of humor and heat as the pristine life of Grace Khumalo (Khanyi Mbau) is rattled by the unexpected arrival of her next-door neighbor, who happens to be her former best friend.
When a forbidden romance blossoms between their unsuspecting children, these feuding mothers are thrust into an uproarious battle of wits and wills in their elite suburb.
“Meet the Khumalos” boasts a talented including Khanyi Mbau, the late Connie Chiume, Khosi Ngema, Jesse Suntele, Siyabonga Shibe, and Bonga Dlamini.
Produced by Urban Vision Productions, this chaotic comedy is directed by Jayan Moodley, with a script penned by the outstanding duo of Gillian Breskun and Wendy Gumede.
“Meet the Khumalos” is a follow-up to the 2017 Indo-South African film “Keeping Up with the Kandasamys,” which was also directed by Moodley.
