“Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot” tells the inspiring tale of Reverend Martin and his wife Donna, who, between 1998 and 2000, motivated their local community to adopt 77 foster children.
The film explores the challenges and victories of their mission, aiming to shine a light on the American foster care system and inspire global compassion.
Produced by Angel Studios and executive produced by Letitia Wright, known for her role as Marvel’s new Black Panther, the film continues Angel Studios’ tradition of creating impactful narratives.
Though not a sequel to “The Sound of Freedom,” it shares a commitment to addressing significant social issues through film.
While it premiered in the U.S. on July 4, “Sound of Hope” will be released in Nigeria on September 20, distributed by FilmOne.
