“The Betrayed” Marks Directorial Debut for Zulumoke Oyibo

Inkblot Productions has scheduled the nationwide theatrical release of “The Betrayed” for August 2, 2024. This film marks the directorial debut of Zulumoke Oyibo, who has previously worked as a producer on projects like “Up North,” “Quam’s Money,” and “Palava.”

 

The film stars Uche Montana and Gabriel Afolayan as a seemingly perfect couple living a blissful life with their two children. However, their idyllic family life takes a dramatic turn when Afolayan’s character, a loving husband and father, becomes embroiled in a shocking incident.

 

After a chance encounter with a university student leads to a night of passion, he awakens to find the student dead beside him. Accused of murder, he is thrust into a desperate struggle to prove his innocence and protect his family from unraveling.

 

Alongside Montana and Afolayan, Ibrahim Suleiman plays a pivotal role, contributing to a dynamic cast that includes Adunni Ade, Jemima Osunde, Vine Olugu, Stephanie Zibili, and Aderonke Onuoha.

 

The film, which navigates themes of trust, betrayal, and the search for truth while capturing the complexities of familial bonds in the face of adversity was written by Naz Onuzo and Tosin Anyafulu.

 

“The Betrayed” promises a compelling story filled with suspense and emotional depth, and it will be available exclusively in cinemas from August 2, 2024.
