The Life of Jesus Christ Gets an Animated Spin in “The King of Kings”

To commemorate the Easter celebration, the animated Christian film “The King of Kings” will be released exclusively in theaters worldwide on Apr. 11, 2025.
Distributed by Angel Studios and produced by Mofac Studios, the film centers around the biography of Jesus Chirst–from his birth down to his execution in the hands of those he came to save. Legendary children’s author Charles Dickens will narrate the biblical events to his son Walter Dickens. Together they embark on a realistic journey of faith, obedience, and redemption.
“The King of Kings” features a distinguished voice cast of Oscar Isaac, Kenneth Branagh, Uma Thurman, Mark Hamill, Pierce Brosman, Roman Griffin Davis, Forest Whitaker, Ava Sanger, Sir Ben Kingsley, Dee Bradley Baker, James Arnold Taylor, Jim Cummings, Fred Tatasciore, and Vanessa Marshall.
The film is based on Dickens’ 1846 book, “The Life of Our Lord,” and directed by Seong-ho Jang, who also serves as writer and producer of the project.
