Toyin Abraham Announces Release Date for “Malaika”

Nigerian actress and producer Toyin Abraham has announced the release date for her upcoming film, “Malaika.” Directed by Steve Olufemi Sodiya, this film is scheduled to make its theatrical debut on Dec. 22.
The recently unveiled trailer introduces us to the story of a woman, played by Abraham, who grapples with infertility and anger issues. However, because she was surrounded by a supportive circle of friends and family, she embarks on a transformative spiritual journey.
The film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Ugandan entertainer and comedian Anne Kansiime, renowned Nollywood actor Emeka Ike, Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi (Isbae U), Uzor Arukwe, Oderhohwo Joseph “Carter” Efe, Ibrahim Chatta, Pelumi Olawuni (Abike Shugaa), and veteran actress Taiwo Ajai-Lycett.
Abraham personally shared the release date on social media, declaring, “Malaika the movie IN CINEMAS FROM 22ND OF DECEMBER.”
Expanding on the success of her 2022 hit, “Ijakumo: The Born-Again Stripper,” Abraham continues to explore unique narratives with “Malaika” which delves into the lives of women navigating infertility issues.
With the release date set for Dec. 22, audiences can anticipate the cinematic experience that “Malaika” will offer.
