The streaming giant, Netflix, is adding more sizzle to the holiday season with the unveiling of its release date for the upcoming drama series, “WAR: Wrath And Revenge.” This new installment serves as a spin-off from the highly acclaimed political thriller series, “Sons of the Caliphate,” thereby setting the stage for another interesting tale.
Scheduled for release on Dec. 28, ‘WAR’ delves into the political machinations surrounding Nuhu Bula’s (Mofe Duncan) ascent to the governorship of Kowa. However, the plot thickens as his wife, Binta (Rahama Sadau), reveals treacherous plans, leaving no stone unturned to secure her husband’s success. The narrative takes a turn when Binta discovers Nuhu’s intentions to take a second wife, igniting the wrath of a woman scorned.
Penned by Karachi Atiya, the series promises an abundance of intrigue, as displayed in the official trailer released on November 30th. The trailer offers a glimpse into the compelling drama that awaits viewers.
Directed by Dimbo Atiya, the stellar cast, including Yakubu Mohammed, Patrick Doyle, Ayoola Ayolola, Ifeanyi Kalu, Theresa Edem, Bikiya Graham Douglas, Daniel Okosun, Maikudi “Cashman,” Mickey Odeh, Sophia Muhammed, Uzee Usman, Padita Agu, and Ahide Adum, ensures a power-packed performance.
