Wunmi Toriola Makes Cinema Debut with “Queen Lateefah”

Nollywood Actress Wunmi Toriola is set to make her cinema debut as both star and executive producer of “Queen Lateefah,” a romantic drama slated for nationwide release on September 27.

The film, described as “a tale of love & lies,” promises to be “an unforgettable cinematic experience” according to promotional materials.

It features a cast of Nollywood heavyweights including Kunle Remi, Salami Rotimi, Aisha Lawal, Lateef Adedimeji, and Nancy Isime.

Directed by Captaindegzy(AdeOluwa Owu), “Queen Lateefah” is a joint production between Wumi Toriola TV and COTS Productions.

Judith Audu joins Toriola as co-producer, with Ope Ajayi also serving as executive producer.

Cinemax will handle distribution for the film, which marks Toriola’s first venture into cinema production after establishing herself on various Nollywood films.

The film’s tagline, “Where sham meets reality,” hints at a story that may resonate with audiences looking for both romance and intrigue on the big screen.
