Is Burna Boy’s Garage The Most Lavish among African Artists?

Odogwu’s famous words last year “if you haven’t made up to a $100 million this year, don’t chat to me” might just be starting to sink in.

If you don’t want oppreshun, it’s best to stay off Burna Boy’s Instagram story (seriously).

The Grammy-award-winning singer took to his Instagram story to show off, not only his latest new toy, a Rolls Royce – whose Spirit of Ecstasy was customized with diamond – but also his entire garage which features quite a collection of exotic metal beasts

It’s a spectacle that’s certainly worth delving into, given the array of high-end cars showcased in the minute-long video.

Lamborghini Aventador

Listed Price: $500,000 (approximately 350 million)

With a carbon-fiber structure powered by a 769-hp V12-6 engine–that drives this beast to a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph)– the Lamborghini Aventador is the quintessential luxury ride.

Scissor doors open to a two-seater cabin albeit with very limited luggage space.

The price of the 2024 Ultimate models can set you back as high as $507,353.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600

Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600

Listed Price: $175,000

Designed with royalty in mind, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 boasts an opulent exterior and an interior that screams luxury, prioritizing comfort and opulence.

Unlike the standard Benz-branded GLS-class SUV, the 2024 model features only two rows but compensates with ample legroom and heat and massage functions.

The arrival experience is heightened by new puddle lights that project Maybach logos onto the ground.

Inside, Nappa leather, real wood trim with elegant pinstripes, and a fragrance diffuser enhance the luxury atmosphere, making it perfect for those who prefer being chauffeured.

Ferrari 812 Superfast

Ferrari 812 Superfast

Listed Price: $300,000

Sleek, elegant, and classy, the 2021 Ferrari 812 is among the speediest in Burna Boy’s garage.

The cues are literally in the name.

“Superfast” for its insane speed–0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds for a top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph).

“812” is not for fancy either.

It reflects the 800 horsepower produced by its V12 engine, marking the first time in over fifty years that Ferrari has offered a 12-cylinder convertible.

The 2021 Ferrari 812’s price ranges from $300,000 to $400,000 varying with customizations.

Rolls Royce Dawn

Rolls Royce Dawn

Listed Price: $350,000

Arguably the most “exotic” of exotic cars, the Rolls Royce is a brand that speaks volumes. Given that just the umbrella reportedly costs anywhere from $700 to $1200, the cars themselves are worth fortunes.

Although not as exquisite as its famous cousin, the Cullinan, the Rolls Royce Dawn is an able-bodied competitor.

Powered by a 6.6-litre, twin-turbocharged 12-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 563 horsepower and 575 lb.-ft of torque, expect to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.9 seconds.

The Dawn’s convertible roof–which unfurls in a mere 22 seconds–favors open-top driving over a large trunk space–which is small enough for just two suitcases.

An immersive audio experience is provided by an 18-speaker stereo system, designed to envelop occupants in sound,

As if that wasn’t luxury enough, the Dawn is equipped with a GPS-integrated automatic transmission, allowing it to anticipate and adapt its gear shifts based on the car’s immediate terrain.

All these don’t come cheap.

Your pockets better be at least $300,000 deep. And that’s just the base price. The now-canon customizations would set you back way more.

Rolls Royce Cullinan

Rolls Royce Cullinan

Listed Price:  $380,000

The crown jewel of Burna Boy’s garage, the Rolls Royce Cullinan is as good as they get.

It is everything the Dawn is and more. The first all-terrain SUV from Rolls-Royce.

As Rolls-Royce’s first all-terrain vehicle, it offers unparalleled comfort and quietness, all at 70 mph. Equipped with all-wheel drive, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and Apple CarPlay, the Cullinan defines extravagance for those fortunate enough to afford it.

In keeping with Rolls Royce tradition, the Cullinan comes with a comprehensive four-year warranty that includes unlimited mileage and maintenance coverage.

Burna Boy’s model has a diamond-encrusted Statue of Ecstasy. To even clear the damn thing off the Nigerian ports can buy high-end Toyota SUVs. Imagine how much his would cost.
