From Oshe to Madu to One Ticket, Kizz Daniel is no stranger to making hits. His latest single, Buga, is of course no exception. Released on the 14 May, 2022 and featuring Tekno, the song has garnered over 40 million streams and counting.

But Buga isn’t just a song, it’s also a lifestyle. Since its release, the song has gone on to become a crowd favorite and our Gen X aunties are not dropping it from their playlists anytime soon. No, seriously, Nigerian aunties love Kizz Daniel and they love Buga even more.

Don’t believe us? Have a look at social media. Aisha Yesufu, Ngozi Ezeonu and Kate Henshaw are just some of the female celebrities that have been seen sharing their dance moves to the song. Even Sola Sobowale used the song in one of her Instagram captions!

That’s not to say the male celebrities haven’t joined the craze. Just the other day Rochas Okorocha was seen throwing it down to Buga. This is of course not counting the regular Nigerian uncles and aunties who are just as obsessed with the tune.

Buga isn’t just a craze within the confines of Nigeria’s walls. It’s a massive hit in so may different countries. Just last week, after Tobi Amusan’s win at the World Athletics Championships, the song was played for her celebratory lap. Iconic, isn’t it?
