“Laho” is Shallipopi’s most popular song… internationally, at least. And the 55 million-plus streams—his highest on a single—is statistical proof.
The 25-year-old has been, understandably, trying to milk the global recognition.
“Laho II” featuring Burna Boy has already drawn some domestic criticism among listeners who felt the addition of Odogwu diluted the song.
Rather than pull back, Shallipopi doubled down, this time tapping GRAMMY-nominated Puerto Rican star Rauw Alejandro for “Laho III.” It’s a bold cross-continental swing, but not everyone is cheering.
“Even Ckay no milk love nwatiti like this
Pity this song nau,” mused one user on X.

Perhaps the most comical response came from @BigMeka, who quipped, “E don turn series,” joking that “Laho IV” may already be in the works.

He may be right.
At this rate, Shallipopi might even be assembling a global Avengers for “Laho”—we’re talking Jungkook, Dave, and maybe even Chris Brown on a future remix. Ambition? Certainly. Overkill? Possibly.
There’s a thin line between smart promotion and full-on fatigue, and fans are starting to wonder if Shallipopi has crossed it.
Still, if nothing else, he’s keeping everyone talking. Maybe that’s the point all along.
