When he’s not spicing things up with “Wotowoto Seasoning,” Odumodu Blvck spends his time in another realm of entertainment: sports—specifically, Spanish football (soccer), where his FC Barcelona bias is loud and proud and stirring up fans across social media.
As a staunch FC Barcelona supporter, Odumodu has had the upper hand recently thanks to his team’s 4 – 0 thrashing of league rivals Real Madrid in the famous El Classico.
But Odumodu isn’t just a Barcelona stan; he’s a Messi loyalist through and through. So it should also come as no surprise that when Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty kick that sent his club, Al Nassr FC, out of the Saudi King Cup of Champions, Odumodu wailed with gleeful trolling.
“I’ve had enough tears to drink; God, please, it’s okay. Pity my opps.”
After Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr lost out on France Football’s Ballon d’Or—the pinnacle of individual football—to Spanish midfielder Rodri, the “Eziokwu” singer couldn’t help but throw shade, tweeting, “smoking on that Vini pack” and leaving comments like “Pussio” under the Brazilian star’s tweets.
For Odumodu, it was all in good fun, but Real Madrid fans decided they’d had enough of the rapper’s antics.
An angered @AsiwajuLerry retorted,
“There’s a very thin line between cruise and stupidity.”
@Badboyvic was also not having it. “You need to do better guy, when e reach football matters you dey tweet like FOOL!”
His choice of Rodri (the eventual Ballon d’Or winner) over legendary Brazilian midfielder Casemiro also didn’t stand well with Madridistas who melted at his football takes. Unfortunately, even Manchester United fans weren’t spared from his rage.
Needless to say, Odudmodu continues to double down and aggressively push FC Barcelona content and Real Madrid hate—despite some Nigerians reportedly threatening to report him to Jay Z (If you’re surprised, so am I). In typical Big Kala fashion, the rapper shrugs off the criticism and stands on business,
“Vini does not have power over my music boss, only Jesus does. I am an unapologetic Barcelona fan. I do not hate Vinicius…I hate Real Madrid tho….”
