“You don’t need no other body,” Tems probably thought as she stepped out before the overwhelmingly male assembly at GQ’s Men of the Year event.
The 2025 edition, which was held in London on November 18, 2025, featured the who’s who of British entertainment: Pierce Brosnan, Skepta, Cynthia Erivo, Tom Hiddleston, Jamie Lloyd, Lewis Capaldi, among others.
It was an event honoring men, but the red carpet honored a woman in Tems.
The 30-year-old Nigerian songstress stole the show with her striking white ensemble, styled by Dunsin Wright. She wore a sleeveless tank-style top paired with a structured corset. The corset cinched her waist with visible boning and soft beige paneling, flowing into a long, textured column skirt with a scalloped, almost scale-like pattern and a dramatic matching train draped to one side.
Completing the look were soft curls and makeup created by Ashanti Lation and Kayla Perez respectively.
On a night dedicated to men, Tems reminded everyone that sometimes the most unforgettable presence in the room is not one of the honorees.
