English singer-songwriter Olivia Dean has made her mark on the Billboard 200. Her sophomore album, The Art of Loving, debuted at No. 8 on the chart this week, marking her first appearance on the Billboard 200 and her first top ten entry.
The album earned 43,000 units in the United States, 11,000 being from pure sales alone.
This milestone is a significant achievement for the fast-rising artiste whose music has gained widespread attention for its warmth, optimism, and soulful depth. Songs such as Man I Need and Nice to Each Other have been performing exceptionally well on social media and across global charts. Man I Need currently sits at No. 1 on the UK Official Singles Chart—her first-ever chart-topper in her home country—while Nice to Each Other holds strong at No. 4. Meanwhile, So Easy to Fall in Love rounds out her trio of UK top ten hits at No. 9.
The Art of Loving also debuts at No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart, making Dean among the rare female artistes to simultaneously hold the top single and album in the country. She becomes only the second solo British female artiste to achieve this feat since Adele in 2021, when 30 and Easy on Me topped their respective charts.
In the UK, the album opened with 53,000 units sold, giving Dean the fifth-biggest opening week of the year—behind Lady Gaga’s Mayhem, Ed Sheeran’s Play, Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, and Sam Fender’s People Watching. With this accomplishment, Dean cements her status as one of Britain’s brightest new stars.
