Nigerian singer-songwriter Ric Hassani is set to return with his fifth studio album, “Lagos Lover Boy,” scheduled for release on June 13, 2025.
The announcement came via his official social media pages, where he shared a trailer for the album — a vibrant, cinematic tribute to the urban rhythm of Lagos: a city bursting with love, energy, and beautiful chaos.

Hassani, known for his heartfelt R&B and soul ballads, continues to carve a lane of his own in the Nigerian music scene. As a Nigerian Idol judge and seasoned performer, he’s expected to bring his signature blend of suave lyricism, emotional vulnerability, and smooth vocals to this new project — a combination that has earned him a devoted fanbase.
With hits across multiple genres like “Only You,” “Thunder Fire You,” and “Beautiful to Me,” Hassani’s discography reflects both range and depth. His 2016 debut, “The African Gentleman,” shot him into the spotlight, followed by acclaimed projects such as “The Prince I Became” (2021), “Afro Love” (2023), and “Hassani Workout” (2024).
