Nigerian actor Anthony Nwahiri has been named Most Promising Actor of the Year at the Great Excellence Movies Award (GEMA) held recently in Ghana.
The organisers, in an Instagram post, congratulated the actor known for his roles in Kemi Adetiba’s To Kill a Monkey (2025), Baby Farm (2025), and Africa Magic’s The Yard (2025) on his latest achievement.
Nwahiri shared a photo of his award plaque on social media, expressing gratitude and noting that his consistency played a major role in earning him recognition beyond Nigeria.
Alongside Nwahiri, Kemi Adetiba received the award for Best Script Writer of the Year, while Uche Montana was honoured as Best Actress in a Leading Role, highlighting Nigerian talent among the night’s key winners.
Nwahiri’s latest accolade adds to his growing reputation as a rising star in Nollywood and underscores the influence of persistence in navigating the competitive film industry.
