Adekunle Gold is gearing up for the performance of a lifetime this month as he prepares to bring his latest album, Fuji, to life with a symphonic performance at the National Theatre, Lagos, on December 26, 2025.

Gold will perform alongside the 55-member MUSON Orchestra, making the show one of the biggest symphonic collaborations in Afrobeats history. Elevating the experience further, his official band, The 79th Element, will also be joining him on stage.

Gold is expected to perform tracks from Fuji as well as select songs from his earlier albums, including Gold, Catch Me If You Can, About 30, Tequila Ever After, and Afro Pop Vol. 1. It remains unclear whether the singer will bring out guest stars for the performance, such as his wife, Simi, but attendees are in for a treat regardless, as “AG Baby” is revered for delivering electrifying live performances.

Tickets for the show are already selling fast, with the singer revealing that early-bird tickets have sold out. Only the “Fuji Tribe” and “Fuji Club” VIP tickets remain available.

Gold released his sixth studio album, Fuji, on October 3, 2025, to mixed-to-positive reviews. Widely regarded as his most successful project to date, the album has spawned national hits such as the fuji-inspired “Many People”, featuring highlife legends Yinka Ayefele and Adewale Ayuba, the party starter “Coco Money”, and the smooth “Obimo”. The project has surpassed 41 million streams on Spotify alone.

Symphonic performances are increasingly gaining traction among Afrobeats artistes, with the orchestral route proving to be one of the most sonically pleasing ways to elevate the genre’s global movement. Last month, Asake held a sold-out Red Bull Symphonic performance in New York City, backed by a 33-member orchestra.
