Nollywood director Adeoluwa Owu has unveiled his upcoming film project, “100 Reasons,” sharing behind-the-scenes photos of the wrapped project.
In a special appreciation post on his Instagram page, on May 31, Owu also spotlighted the cofounder of Ankle Films, Mimi Bartels.
The director known for “Griot” and “Adire,” acknowledged Bartels’ significant impact in defining his best career moments in Nollywood.
“Got 100 reasons to thank Mimi. When Mimi called me to be Lead Director for her precious project it was such an honor and full circle moment because we go way back to the days of humble beginnings,” he wrote.

Owu recognised Bartels’ excellence and resilience spirit to achieve anything she set her heart on. According to him, she brought the same energy to the production of “100 Reasons.”
“Yes, she will fight me for this public announcement but I have learned to celebrate people who fight and speak for me in places I can’t even reach,” he added.
Owu’s unveiling of “100 Reasons,” shot in 39 days, is yet another Nollywood title to look forward to among the lineup of 2025 titles.
