Africa Magic’s “10th Avenue” and “Italo” Premiere with Star-Studded Casts

Africa Magic’s new show, “10th Avenue,” premiered July 4, 2024, featuring a star-studded cast including Korede Soyinka, Elma Mbadiwe, and AMVCA Trailblazer winner Chimezie Imo.

This drama series follows siblings seeking revenge for their father’s death, with an unexpected romantic twist threatening to derail their plans. Directed by Rogba Arimoro, known for his work on “Refuge” and “Judging Matters,” “10th Avenue” delves into themes of classism, love, politics, and deception.

The show airs new episodes weekly on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:30 PM on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Ch. 151).

In addition to “10th Avenue,” Africa Magic premiered another drama series, “Italo,” on July 1, 2024.

“Italo” tells the story of Esosa, a young woman trafficked to Italy as a sex worker, who returns to her homeland 15 years later to marry the love of her life. The series explores her past’s impact on her present life.

The cast includes Angela Eguavoen, Frankincense Eche-Ben, and Henry Iyobosa Legemah. Written by Anyanwu Sandra Adaora and directed by Adeola Osunkojo, Philemon Maigari, and Olusola Roberts, “Italo” airs on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Ch. 151) with new episodes from Mondays to Wednesdays at 8:30 PM.
