Anthill Studios has announced that the film “Criminal‘, directed by Dolapo Adigun, will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting August 2, 2024. This release follows the film’s successful theatrical run, establishing it as one of the notable Nigerian film projects this year.
“Criminal” marks Dolapo Adigun’s directorial debut, transitioning from her previous roles in filmmaking and editing to the director’s chair. Adigun has gained recognition for her work on projects such as “The House of Secrets”, “Jagun Jagun”, and “Mikolo”. With “Criminal”, she continues to expand her creative vision, bringing a compelling narrative to audiences.
The film features “Uzor Arukwe’ in the lead role, portraying a character who faces an intense and personal battle. Arukwe’s character embarks on a high-stakes journey to save his brother’s life, making difficult decisions and confronting moral dilemmas that test his limits. The storyline offers an exploration of family loyalty, sacrifice, and the lengths one will go to protect loved ones.
