Afrobeats star Asake delivered a special live performance of songs from his latest album M$NEY alongside four unreleased tracks during an exclusive Spotify listening party held in London.
The event took place on Sunday, June 21, at the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane and marked the first time the 2x GRAMMY-nominated artiste performed material from the album live since its release in May.
Organised in partnership with Spotify, the invite-only session brought together friends, family, and some of Asake’s top global listeners for an intimate showcase of his latest body of work.
Backed by a live orchestra, Asake performed selections from M$NEY and previewed four new songs, sparking speculation that the unreleased material could form part of a potential deluxe edition of the album.
The performance was also filmed, with Spotify expected to release a full concert film in the coming days.

Released on May 1 via GIRAN REPUBLIC and EMPIRE, M$NEY has enjoyed strong commercial success, debuting at No. 8 in the United States and topping streaming charts in more than 19 countries, including Nigeria.
The project, which explores themes of gratitude, spirituality, ambition, and wealth, continues Asake’s blend of melodic experimentation and Afrobeats-driven sound. It also reinforces his position as one of the genre’s leading global exports.
Following the album’s release, Asake was ranked No. 15 among digital artistes globally by Kworb Data, placing him alongside some of the world’s most commercially successful musicians.
The singer, who has earned two Grammy nominations and holds multiple records on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, continues to build on a run that has made him one of Nigeria’s most streamed and widely recognised contemporary artistes.
Industry observers note that M$NEY further consolidates his evolution as an artiste, balancing commercial appeal with thematic reflection on success and lifestyle at the peak of his career.
