Asake Named Nigeria’s Best-Selling Artist of 2024 by TurnTable Charts

Afrobeats sensation Asake has been crowned Nigeria’s best-selling artist of 2024 by TurnTable Charts, marking his third consecutive year at the top. The achievement solidifies his legacy as the first Nigerian artist to reach this milestone.
According to TurnTable’s annual year-end report, Asake amassed an impressive ₦844 million in revenue through streams, collaborations, radio airplay, and television appearances. He surpassed prominent artists like Rema, Young Jonn, Seyi Vibez, and Shallipopi to claim the top spot.
A significant contributor to Asake’s success was his third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” released on August 9, 2024. The album dominated the Apple Music Official Top 100 Albums chart for 15 weeks and made waves internationally, including a debut on the Billboard 200. Its hit singles, including “Active,” “Wave,” “MMS,” and “Whine,” further cemented his place in the global music scene.
“MMS,” a collaboration with Wizkid, received a nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards. highlighting Asake’s growing international recognition.
Additionally, “Lungu Boy” has been named the best-selling album of 2024, reinforcing his status as one of Nigeria’s most successful and influential artists.
