Benjamin Omosivie, professionally known as Benriffs, has emerged winner of the 2025 edition of The Big Stage on the Kiekie Unscripted Experience, securing a brand-new Mikano Changan CS15 Sports Utility Vehicle.

He was announced winner during the season finale held on June 7, 2026, following a competition that began with more than 500 contestants across music, comedy, acting, dance, poetry, and culinary arts.

Show creator and host Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, announced the result during the finale night, while King Stevie emerged first runner-up and received a cash prize of N2.5 million.

Throughout the season, contestants were pushed beyond their primary talents through challenges that tested adaptability and stage presence. These included a cooking round judged by celebrity chef Hilda Baci, alongside unscripted performances with established actors and comedians.

Speaking exclusively with The Nollywood Reporter after his win, Benriffs described the Kiekie Unscripted Experience as a platform created to support emerging creatives.

“The platform; Kiekie Unscripted Experience was a platform created by Kiekie alongside other sponsors in order to support her, and the platform was made to empower talents,” he says.

“The platform kicked off in 2024, and we have been taking it all the way through 2025 and now 2026, with various winners emerging. One winner takes home a brand-new car, while the second runner-up takes home five million naira, with others winners as well.”

Reflecting on his musical journey, the singer says his passion for music developed gradually from childhood into a professional pursuit. “I am a singer, professional background vocalist and songwriter who looks forward to recording after my university graduation, and it has honestly been a journey for me,” he says.

“From having the spark to actively working on my singing and singing artistry in general, I started working with producers, artistes, and I started singing as a normal singer.”

Benriffs also reflects on the persistence that shaped his career, including multiple attempts at Nigerian Idol. “From there to winning online competitions and going for Nigerian Idol three times. It’s actually a process, and I will say the process hasn’t stopped. I am still in the process, because there is a destination, and until we get there, I won’t stop.”

For the singer, the biggest impact of the win is the visibility and recognition it has brought to his career beyond previous platforms.“These past days since I won the car, and I came out as the number one winner among thousands of contestants, it has added more to my portfolio as a singer and it has given me prestige,” he notes.

“It’s a glorious thing that happened to me. I even saw myself in like two newspapers and blogs, and to have the opportunity to have sung in the midst of stars, because people in the audience were celebrities — so it was a thing of recognition, and it opened my eyes again to my own talent, to see that this singing is something that could open doors for me, and I feel like doors are being opened right now.”

“So the impact it has on my career is massive,  it is promoting and announcing me to the world. A lot of people have heard my name on Nigerian Idol, but this is putting me out there again, to introduce people to Benjamin Omosivie, who made it far on Nigerian Idol but didn’t win, to now winning a similar contest.”
