Big Brother Naija Season 10 Kicks Off with High Energy
The anticipated Big Brother Naija Season 10 officially launched with a vibrant double premiere on July 26 and 27, 2025.
The first night introduced 15 female housemates into the house, followed by 14 male contestants on the second, bringing the total to 29 participants competing for prizes worth ₦150 million.
Hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who returned for another season, the launch nights were powered by sponsors including Guinness, Lush Hair, Innoson Motors, Power Oil, and others. Musical performances by Fola, Taves, Fido, and Shody energized the crowd as each artiste delivered hit singles on the BBNaija stage.
As a milestone edition, Season 10 promises several twists aimed at shaking up the usual dynamics. A new weekly earnings system will influence contestants’ stay in the house, while Head of House (HoH) challenges have been moved to Sundays. The revamped HoH role now includes mental tests and lasts for just one day. Jason Jae won the first title, establishing himself as an early contender.
Another new feature is the “Influential Player of the Week,” voted by housemates to spotlight those who shape house dynamics. While the timeline for implementation hasn’t been disclosed, the segment is expected to deepen the game’s strategic layer.
The 15 female housemates include Dede, Ibifubara, Sabrina, Tracy, Thelma Lawson, Imisi, Isabella, Joanne, Doris, Mide, Sultana, Big Soso, Zita, Ivatar, and Gigi Jasmine. The 14 male housemates are Mensan, Kuture, Otega, Kola, Jason Jae, Victory, Kayikanmi, Denari, Kaybobo, Faith, Rooboy, Bright Morgan, Damboskid, and Koyin. A 15th male contestant was unable to complete the lockdown requirements.
Early reactions on social media suggest that the house is already bursting with drama. Several housemates delivered the kind of chaotic, meme-worthy energy fans expect—from their first moments on stage. While some personalities seem familiar, the diversity in character and background hints at a season filled with unpredictable alliances, clashes, and standout moments.
Big Brother Naija Season 10 is available 24/7 on DStv, GOtv, and Showmax.
