New York Times Best Selling author Collen Hoover is headed for another theatrical run following the PR nightmare that plagued the release of “It Ends With Us” in 2024.
The film adaptation of her international bestseller “Verity” will hit theatres on May 15, 2026, as production has officially wrapped for the psychological thriller that captivated the hearts of audiences on social media and beyond.
The exciting news was confirmed by the film’s star Anne Hathaway via an Instagram reel captioned, “So Be It…that’s a wrap on the #VerityMovie production! See you in theatres May 15, 2026.”
The highly anticipated film also stars Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Brady Wagner, Irina Dovorenko, K.K Moggie, and Michael Abbott Jr.
“Verity” is distributed by Amazon MGM Studios and directed by Michael Showalter. The screenplay is written by “Channel Zero” showrunner Nick Antosca, who also serves as a producer of the film alongside Hathaway, Showalter, and Hoover.
Originally published in 2018, Verity follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh, who is hired by Jeremy Crawford—the husband of renowned author Verity Crawford—to complete her latest novel following her incapacitation after a car accident. As Ashleigh moves into the Crawford home, she quickly realizes that beneath the surface of the seemingly perfect household lies disturbing truths.
