The popular dating reality show “Date My Family” South Africa has officially kicked off its latest season, and viewers are in for a treat.
Every Sunday at 18:30 (SAST), a bachelor or bachelorette looking for love will go on three dinner dates with the families and friends of potential partners in their homes. The three potential partners are away from view, watching the show like the rest of the audience in another room.
Based on the most impressive family, the bachelor or bachelorette will then choose who to date. This season, there are a few new additions to the format that are sure to keep viewers engaged.
Viewers will be introduced to a new “Driver Bae” who will continue to drive the bachelor or bachelorette to and from the dates. Additionally, a new feature called “Lifeline” has been introduced, where the driver hands over a phone to the potential date before their date begins. The potential date has only one chance to communicate with the family to make a special request that they believe will influence the decision of their dinner guest.
In the premiere episode, viewers meet the bachelorette – a 26-year-old teacher from Durban who has struggled to find love. Fans will have to tune in to see what happens next as the new season unfolds.
“Date My Family” South Africa airs every Sunday at 18:30 (SAST) on Mzansi Magic on DSTV Compact, channel 161. Viewers can expect an exciting and entertaining season filled with heartwarming moments, hilarious interactions, and the pursuit of true love.
