“East West Love” Set for First-Ever World Premiere in May

The romantic comedy starring Sunshine Rosman will open the Nollywood Week Film Festival in Paris.

East West Love, a romantic comedy starring Sunshine Rosman is set to have its first-ever World Premiere in Paris following its selection as the opening film at the Nollywood Week Film Festival in May. 

 

In a recent video, Rosman, who is the lead actress, shared the news about the film’s global premiere. “Our world premiere will take place at the Nollywood Week Film Festival and this is currently the only place to watch it,” she said. 

 

The Nigeria-Kenya collaborative project directed by Seto Shamte examines a surprise post-breakup trip that spirals into a journey of healing, friendship and unexpected love. It tackles the healing part of movement when dealing with heartbreak.

Aside from Rosman known for To Kill A Monkey and Alive Till Dawn, East West Love, an intercontinental love story set in Mombasa and Lagos, features performances from Brian Abajah, Efa Iwara, Elma Mbadiwe, and Emmanuel Mugo. 

 

Produced by Dolapo Adeleke and Folashayo Oke Sobo, East West Africa stands out particularly because of its honesty and depth in capturing the Nollywood Week Festival’s message this year. Its exploration of discovery, connection and moment validates the festival theme titled “Voyage.” 

 

The festival will run from May 6 to May 10, 2026 in Paris, France.
