Ebony Life’s “A Sunday Affair” is Netflix’s Most-Watched Nigerian Film in the First Half of 2023

Congratulations are for EbonyLife! The Mo Abudu-led media house recently announced that its collaborative project with streaming giant Netflix, “A Sunday Affair,” emerged as the most-watched Nigerian film on Netflix in the first half of 2023. It earned an overall watch time of 9.5 million hours.
Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife, couldn’t contain her excitement as she celebrated the exciting news on Instagram. She went on to thank the cast and crew for their hardwork and dedication. She said, “It’s truly wonderful to see how far we have come and the impact our stories are having on our continent and around the world.”
“A Sunday Affair” is still streaming globally on Netflix. Released on Valentine’s Day, the film revealed just how messy love triangles can be when friendships are entangled. It stars Nse Ikpe-Etim, Dakore Egbuson Akande, Eris Ehuero, Alexx Ekuobo, Uzor Osimpkpa, Chris Iheuwa, and Hilda Dokubo.
