EMCOAN Unveils Nominees for the Maiden NEMCEA

The Electronic Media Content Owners Association (EMCOAN) in collaboration with the Broadcast Media Africa unveiled the nominees for the maiden NEMCEA slated to hold between August 29 and 31, 2022. The nominees were announced during the press conference held at the Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja, Lagos.

While addressing the press, the president of the organizing body, Jibe Ologeh revealed that one of the highlights of this year’s event is the Barter Village where content producers as well as distributors and TV channels will have the opportunity to exchange content by barter.

The Director of the NEMCEA event, Theophilus Akatugba, explained that NEMCEA is expected to have many delegates attending the market from the 36 states of Nigeria, Anglophone Africa and other places in the world who wish to buy content from Nigeria or distribute their content into Nigeria and Africa.

According to him, “NEMCEA is designed to promote the development of and trade in Nigerian electronic media, film and other content types, expose Nigerian television and media content products amongst the local and to the international market, and to provide development and training support in the areas of marketing and selling these contents to potential buyers.”

Some of the sponsors of NEMCEA include NBC, Star Times, APCON, and Raddison Blu. Foreign Sponsors include Zeeworld.

The NEMCEA is an association that helps to serve as a marketplace for the reading of media content, film, and development of co-production partnerships locally and internationally.
