Femi Odugbemi Joins Black Camera Journal’s Editorial Advisory Board

Black Camera is the international film journal of the Eastern Nigeria Film and Arts Initiative dedicated to the documentation of black cinema and visual culture.

Renowned Nigerian filmmaker and producer, Femi Odugbemi, has officially joined the editorial advisory board of Black Camera, the international journal of the Eastern Nigeria Film and Arts Initiative and Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival (ENIFF). 

 

Odugbemi’s appointment comes on the heels of his completed tenure as the Head of Jury for the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), succeeded by Veteran actress Joke Silva. 

 

With his latest appointment, Femi Odugbemi, with a career that spans across documentaries, features and television, reinforces his prominence as one of the voices strengthening African storytelling globally.

With the recently announced role, Odugbemi, brings his experience as a veteran filmmaker, teacher, mentor and African culture advocate to the board

 

Black Camera is published with the support of The Media School Indiana University Bloomington, featuring research, interviews, reviews, and archival materials and essays that interrogate cinema as an artistic practice, cultural expression amongst other things.
