The official trailer for Remi & Nneoma, a Nigerian adaptation of the biblical story of Ruth and Naomi directed by Lyndsey Efejuku, has been released ahead of the film’s scheduled June theatrical debut.
Bisola Aiyeola, who plays Remi, the daughter-in-law character equivalent to Ruth in the adaptation, shared the trailer on Instagram, further building anticipation for the project.
Remi & Nneoma, produced under Five2Media, the makers of A Night in 2005, explores questions of belonging and communal expectations while examining faith, family, and survival within a Nigerian setting.
The film features performances from Liz Benson, Tina Mba, Uche Montana, Ifeanyi Kalu, Eucharia Anunobi, Bucci Franklin, Kelechi Udegbe, Martha Ehinome, Charles Ugochukwu, and Patrick Dante Oke.
