The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced the nominees for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, which will take place on January 5, 2025.

Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, this year’s nominations highlight standout films and television series that have captivated audiences and critics alike.

Leading the pack is the musical crime thriller “Emilia Perez”, with ten nominations, making it the second most nominated film in the history of the Golden Globes. Among its accolades, Karla Sofia Gascon made history as the first trans actress to receive a Golden Globe nomination in a leading film role, earning a nod for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

Only Murders In The Building

Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana are nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for their performances in feature films, with Saldana celebrating her first-ever Golden Globe nomination and Gomez receiving her fourth. Additionally, Gomez is recognized in the television category with a nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building”.

First-time nominees this year include Mikey Madison (“Anora”), Pamela Anderson (“The Last Showgirl”), and Glen Powell (“Hit Man”), reflecting the Golden Globes’ tradition of celebrating new talent.

The Broadway musical adaptation “Wicked” is nominated for four awards: Best Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy, Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Cynthia Erivo, Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for Ariana Grande (her first nomination at the award show), and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
