After earning multiple honors including Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) nominations for its breakout first season, the acclaimed Showmax drama “Flawsome” now has a Season 2 premiere date.
The series will return on Feb. 12, 2023, coinciding with Showmax’s launch of a new app redesign.
Centered on four ambitious female friends navigating career, relationships and self-discovery in Lagos, first season of “Flawsome” won praise for bluntly tackling issues like sexism, marriage woes and workplace harassment. Stars like Bisola Aiyeola, Ini Dima-Okojie and Sharon Ooja are set to reprise their roles.
Fans can anticipate some pressing questions being answered in the highly anticipated second season episodes. Will Ramat (Ini Dima-Okojie) reconcile with her ex-husband? What new career developments lie in store for Dolapo (Enado Odigie)? Viewers can also expect returning co-stars like Gabriel Afolayan and Shine Rosman to further stoke the drama.
The second season will see award-winning screenwriter Dami Elebe take over show running duties. Director Tola Odunsi is also returning as executive producer. Odunsi has teased major developments, saying fans can expect “a story that resonates deeply, especially with women.”
After claiming five AMVCA nominations and a triumph at 2022’s Bella Naija Style Awards, the next chapter of “Flawsome” is primed for more acclaim. The first season deftly balanced timely social commentary with human stories of friendship and ambition – a high bar the new episodes aim to reach even higher.
Fans can catch Season 2 of the buzzworthy hit show exclusively on Showmax beginning Feb. 12, 2023.
