The Joburg Film Festival is gearing up for a star-studded affair as multiple award-winning actor Malik Yoba is confirmed to attend the upcoming festival, infusing a dose of Hollywood glamour into the cinematic celebration.


A versatile entertainer and entrepreneur, Yoba has captured audiences with his compelling performances in film and television over a career spanning three decades. With multiple awards to his name, Yoba stands as one of the industry’s most respected actors. His participation in the Joburg Film Fest is anticipated to generate enthusiasm among film enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.


In addition to showcasing his own cinematic journey, Yoba remains committed to nurturing young talents in the industry. As part of this commitment, he will host a master class with focus on youth development on Wednesday, 28 February 2024, at the Sandton Convention Centre. The master class aims to provide aspiring filmmakers with insights, knowledge, and guidance garnered from Yoba’s extensive experience.


Participation in Yoba’s master class requires the purchase of festival badges, ensuring an inclusive and immersive experience for all attendees. Joining the festival alongside Malik Yoba is world-renowned producer and director Melanie Nicole Clark, known for her collaborations with Tiffany Haddish and Viola Davis.
