The inaugural Leading Vibe Initiative, created by global superstar Tems, has announced its lineup of speakers for its first event aimed at empowering African women in music.
The two-day program kicks off in Lagos, Nigeria, on August 8–9, bringing together artists, songwriters, and producers for mentorship, networking, and training. The initiative will provide emerging female talents with the tools to take control of their creative careers and lead their own wave in the industry.
The panel features prominent industry figures, including Sasha P, CEO of Purple Fire Entertainment; Chinasa Anukam, Director of the Leading Vibe; stylist and art director Muyiwa Awoniyi; producer Dunsin Wright; Saszy Afroshii, Head of Marketing at Sony Music West Africa; and songwriter Joyce Olong.
Other notable speakers include Brian Kullas, Global Product Specialist Lead at Native Instruments; Bloody Civilian; Keke Hammond, Chief Operating Officer of Flytime Group; Wale Davies, Head of A&R at Sony Music Publishing; music consultant for Two Things; Sarah Lorentzen; Yimeeka; and Kasope Owoaje, Label Manager/A&R for MARS.
These speakers will share personal experiences and professional insights on music business, creative direction, and production — equipping participants to thrive in the African and global music scenes.
Five selected artists; Keziah Mallam, Inçi, Lodú, POLAR, and Emly will participate in the program’s first edition, which marks a milestone in the continent’s push for greater female representation in music.
