The sequel to Love in Every Word, Love in Every Word 2: The Wedding, has taken Nollywood by storm, amassing 6.6 million views on YouTube in just two days.

Produced and directed by Omoni Oboli, the film opened to impressive numbers, pulling in over 3 million views within its first 22 hours, rising to 4.5 million after one day, and reaching 6.6 million in two. With this trajectory, it’s expected to cross the 10 million views mark within a week, proving that Nollywood filmmakers pivoting to YouTube releases are finding major success outside traditional streaming platforms.

Starring Uzor Arukwe and Bam Bam Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, Love in Every Word 2: The Wedding continues the love story of Odogwu and Chioma as they prepare to tie the knot. However, secrets and lies threaten to undo their union. The film has drawn praise for its portrayal of love and its authentic depiction of Igbo culture on a global stage.

The original Love in Every Word, released just seven months ago, became a viral hit, spawning memes and online discussions about the chemistry between Arukwe and Olawunmi-Adenibuyan. With over 28 million views to date, its success paved the way for the sequel, which is already performing exceptionally well on YouTube.

Love in Every Word 2: The Wedding is currently streaming on Omoni Oboli TV, the official YouTube channel of Omoni Oboli.
