The indie filmmaker has confirmed the script is completed but production details remain under wraps.
Nigerian writer-director Martins Samuel, known for independent projects such as Blue Baby and The Fisherman, has confirmed the completion of his latest script, Cornerstone, which is slated for a 2026 release.
The filmmaker announced the update on September 13, describing the film as faith-based. The story follows Israel Walter, an immigrant who struggles with personal trauma while helping others find healing and dignity.
“Screenplay for 2026 project is now in the bag: Cornerstone – Grace Never Stops Chasing,” Samuel wrote, adding that the project is linked to symbolic elements from Israel, referencing “fresh stones” brought back by a colleague.

While no production schedule or release date has been set, Samuel has invited U.S.-based actors to reach out as preparations take shape.
His most recent work, The Boy In The Basement, is expected to premiere in November.
