Nigerian street-hop star Mavo has released the music video for the Shakabulizzy Remix featuring Grammy-nominated artiste Davido. Released on December 1, 2025, the video has already pulled in an impressive 79,000 views (and counting) within its first 19 hours.
Produced by Wxrking Title Studios and directed by Tobi Badmantej—one of Mavo’s frequent collaborators—the video continues their strong creative partnership. Badmantej previously directed the Escaladizzy music video, which has amassed over a million views on YouTube.
Mavo has enjoyed an exceptional year, with his unique spin on street-hop anthems sweeping across Nigeria. Social media has played a major role in propelling his success, helping tracks like Escaladizzy, “Shakabulizzy, Money Constant, Body, and Galorizzy chart across Spotify, Apple Music, and the Turntable music charts.
Before the remix, Shakabulizzy peaked at No. 15 on the Turntable Official Nigeria Top 100, and also charted at No. 44 on both Spotify Nigeria and Apple Music Nigeria. Across the pond, the track reached No. 7 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart and spent an impressive six weeks in the top ten. When the remix was released in October 2025, it rose to No. 3 on the Turntable Chart, amassing 2.40 million streams and 41.2 million radio demand.
For a new artiste, Mavo has already secured an enviable roster of high-profile collaborations, including Ayra Starr, Wizkid, and Shallipopi. Billboard also recently named him the African Rookie for the Month of November, solidifying his status as one of the continent’s fastest-rising stars.
