“Nigerian Idol” Season 9: Judges and Premiere Date Revealed!

The ninth season of the talent competition show “Nigerian Idol” is set to premiere on April 21, 2024, on Africa Magic Family and Africa Magic Showcase channels.
After much anticipation, the show’s judges have been officially revealed. The panel will feature a trio of renowned Nigerian artists:
- Ric Hassani: The Nigerian singer, songwriter, and musician is known for his soulful and reggae-infused music. Hassani has been nominated for several awards, including the All Africa Music Awards, and is expected to bring his expertise and talent to the show.
- Omawumi: The singer, songwriter, and musician gained popularity as the runner-up on the 2007 edition of “West African Idols.” Omawumi has collaborated with various renowned artists and will undoubtedly lend her unique touch to the contestants’ performances.
- 9ice: The Nigerian musician, songwriter, and dancer is renowned for his catchy hits like “Gongo Also,” blending Afrobeats and Fuji music. Fans are eagerly awaiting his influence on the contestants’ vocal delivery and stage presence.
Returning as the host for the ninth season is IK Osakioduwa, known for his hilarious jokes and captivating stage presence. Viewers can look forward to his signature energy and comedic flair as he guides the contestants through the competition.
