Produced by Edith Nwakenta and Kambili Ofili, with Ofili making her directorial debut, “Shaping Us” takes viewers on a 100-minute journey through the lives of six friends as they navigate adulthood.
The film addresses contemporary themes such as friendship, infertility, postpartum depression, and divorce, painting a relatable picture of modern struggles.
The cast reunites Bucci Franklin, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, and James Gardiner—who previously appeared together in Daniel Oriahi’s “The Weekend”—alongside an ensemble featuring Omowunmi Dada, Floyd Igbo, Jordan Bangoji, and comedian Lasisi Elenu.
The film is no stranger to acclaim, having recently secured 10 nominations and winning the “Best Film – African Diaspora” award at the Toronto International Film Festival (TINFF) just a month ago.
