The Nigeria Official Selection Committee (NOSC) has opened submissions for Nigeria's official entry to the International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards.
The call comes after Nigeria did not submit an entry for the 98th Academy Awards following eligibility and submission challenges.
Stephanie Linus, chair of the NOSC, announced the call on her social media platforms, confirming that submissions will run from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31, 2026.
The committee is inviting Nigerian filmmakers, producers and rights holders with eligible feature films to submit their works for consideration as Nigeria's official Oscar entry.

NOSC also urged prospective entrants to ensure their films meet the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' eligibility requirements and comply with the submission guidelines available on the committee's official website.
Nigeria's selected film will represent the country in the International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards, scheduled for March 14, 2027, in Los Angeles.
